Robb Steel

Robb Steel commenced employment with the City of Rialto in November, 2001 as Economic Development Director. From 2001 through 2012, his primary responsibility was to manage the activities of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Rialto. After dissolution of the Redevelopment Agency in 2012, Robb assumed the duties of Assistant City Administrator and Director of Development Services. He oversees the operations of the Development Services Department, including Building, Code Enforcement, Economic Development, Housing and Planning services.


The purpose of the Development Services Department is to plan and maintain safe, sustainable and livable neighborhoods for Rialto residents, to encourage high quality development that strengthens our local economy and improves the quality of life for future generations.

Request for Qualifications for the Successor Agency’s 15.5-acre site on Riverside Avenue

The Rialto Municipal Airport is now CLOSED as of September 18. 2014.

After more than 10 years in the works, the shuttering of the Rialto Municipal Airport, is completed.  The closure is the first step in paving the way for the Renaissance planned community, a redevelopment project of 1,439-acres of homes and a business center to be built near the 210 Freeway that includes the 434-acre Rialto Municipal Airport.
