ELECTRONIC SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR RESIDENTIAL ROOF MOUNT PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM
To streamline and provide a more efficient permit processing option, the City of Rialto is offering electronic submittal for residential solar photovoltaic systems. This option allows for the initial submittal and resubmittal of plans to be delivered electronically via email. To qualify, project must be for a one- or two-family residential dwelling.
The following will be required upon first submittal:
To submit plans, email documents to firstname.lastname@example.org. Provide email subject line with site address, hyphen, “Solar Submittal”
- First Submittal Example: 1234 Rialto St.- Solar Submittal
For resubmittals, provide email subject line with plan check number (BPC), hyphen, “Solar Resubmittal” and sequence of review (2nd, 3rd).
- Resubmittal Example: BPC23-XXXX - Solar Resubmittal 2nd
Please allow up to two business days for screening of your submittal documents. Staff will respond via email with payment processing instructions or comments if submittal package is found to be incomplete.
Once payment has been processed plans will be routed for review. Please allow seven business days for us to respond back with approval or corrections.
When plans are approved and permit is ready to issue, applicant will be notified via email. Final permit payment and permit issuance will be processed in person at the front counter.
