CITY OF RIALTO COVID-19 MEMORIAL

The City of Rialto will observe the one-year anniversary of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic by honoring those from Rialto who have died due to the coronavirus and to those who survived.

City facilities will lower their flags to half-staff and white wooden crosses were placed in downtown Rialto, on Riverside Avenue, in memory of the 175 lives lost to date.

In line with California legislation that will recognize the first Monday in March as COVID-19 Victims and Survivors Memorial Day. The measure would also urge local residents to continue taking preventative measures and to follow public health orders to mitigate the spread of this virus, The City of Rialto plans to install a permanent memorial for the Rialto victims and survivors.
